Dear Esteemed Members of the Eastern India Regional Council,
I hope you are all doing well and finding inspiration in the work we accomplish together. It is a pleasure to see how our collective commitment is strengthening our council, and I thank you for your unwavering support and participation. Together, we’ve laid a strong foundation, and with each passing month, we continue to build upon it with renewed energy and purpose.
In this month’s message, I am delighted to share updates on recent initiatives, highlight some upcoming events, and outline further steps we are taking to foster a thriving community for cost and management accounting professionals.
Highlights of October Programs
Professional Development Programs
-
CPE Program : Held on 4th October, this program brought together CMAs to discuss “The future of Internal Audit : Leveraging Technology & Data Analytics”. It was heartening to see robust participation and thoughtful insights shared by industry leaders and practitioners.
Student Development Initiatives

IOTP for Final students (October, 2024): In preparation for upcoming exams, we organized intensive training sessions designed to enhance students’ confidence and performance. We extend our best wishes to all our students preparing for their exams.
Celebrations
In the spirit of unity and festivity, all of us recently celebrated Navaratri and Durga Puja and Dewali. The event was a beautiful reminder of our cultural roots to mark the occasion with traditional fervour.
Upcoming Plans for November
As we continue our mission to elevate the standards of our profession, here’s a preview of what we have in store for November:
-
Introduction of Digital Engagement Platform: In alignment with our goal to expand member engagement in the digital space, we will soon launch an online forum where members can connect, collaborate, and exchange knowledge. This platform will serve as a hub for real-time discussions, resource sharing, and virtual networking opportunities.
-
Student Development Webinar Series: Starting mid-November, we will be launching a series of webinars tailored for students to provide them with insights into current industry practices and the role of CMAs. Topics will range from data analytics to sustainability accounting, preparing them for an ever-evolving professional landscape.
-
Enhanced Support for CMA Start-Ups: To encourage entrepreneurial spirit among our members, we are launching a mentorship program that pairs young CMAs with experienced professionals. This initiative aims to provide guidance on financial planning, compliance, and business strategy.
A Call to Action
As we step into another productive month, I invite each of you to continue participating in these initiatives. Whether through professional development programs, community engagement, or student mentoring, your involvement is vital to our growth as a region.
Closing Thoughts
Our journey is a continuous one, enriched by each member’s dedication and enthusiasm. As we progress, let us keep the momentum going by supporting one another and working toward a future where our profession continues to thrive. I am confident that with your active involvement, we will achieve remarkable milestones in the months to come.
Thank you once again for your trust, passion, and commitment to our shared vision. Let’s make November a month of growth, engagement, and collaboration.
