“Strengthening Our Community – The Road Ahead”

Dear Esteemed Members of the Eastern India Regional Council,

I hope this message finds you in good health and high spirits. As we continue our journey together, I am deeply encouraged by the active participation and enthusiasm displayed by our members in the various initiatives we’ve undertaken so far. Your involvement is what truly drives the success of our council, and I extend my heartfelt gratitude to each of you.

In this communique, I would like to take a moment to reflect on the progress we’ve made and outline the path forward as we continue to strengthen our professional community.

Initiatives taken during the month of September 2024:

During the month of September 2024, ICMAI-EIRC had organised several programmes for members and student for their overall development, viz CPE Programme on "Transitioning to Simplicity of Income Tax Laws- CMAs as Catalyst"–on 13^th September, 2024, IOTP for Final Students was organized from 2^nd September 2024 to 13^th September, 2024, 12 days Pre-Placement Orientation Programme from 5^th September 2024 - 20^th September 2024 was organised at J. N. Bose Auditorium on different topics for June 2024 qualified CMAs. In order to bring awareness of the CMA Profession, Career Awareness Programme was organised by EIRC on 2^nd September 2024 at Shri Shikshayatan College and at St. Augustine's Day School Shyamnagar on 26th September 2024. EIRC had also celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi at EIRC Premises.

Upcoming Plans:

We are building on this momentum with several new initiatives:

1. Advanced Professional Development Initiatives:We are planning specialized programs that focus on high-demand areas like sustainability accounting, digital transformation in accounting, and cost control strategies. These will be designed to equip you with the tools and knowledge necessary to thrive in an evolving business environment.
2. Expanding Member Engagement Platforms:Our member engagement forums will be expanding into digital spaces, allowing more flexibility for participation. We are currently working on developing an online platform where members can engage in real-time discussions, access resources, and collaborate more effectively.
3. Technology Adoption:We are planning to adopt new AI-powered tools to streamline communication and project management within the council. This will make it easier for us to coordinate our initiatives and keep everyone updated on the latest developments.

As we move forward, I urge you to continue participating actively. Whether through our professional development programs, member engagement forums, or social responsibility initiatives, your contribution is invaluable. Together, we will continue to make our region a leader in cost accounting.
