My dear Professional Colleagues,

Firstly, I congratulate the  Registered Valuer Organisation (RVO) of our Institute  who have started conducting its  50 hours classroom sessions in this month  in  four major cities in India including Kolkata for the eligible Members & Non-members to facilitate to sit for examination under the aegis of Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI)  for Valuation Professional under the Companies Act,2013   . A good number of members and non members have enrolled their membership and took active participation in the classroom session as aspirant Valuation Professional. On behalf of team EIRC I congratulate them and also pray for the success in the ensuing examination conducted by the IBBI.

Our focus always will be on education and awareness. During May 2018 ,EIRC jointly with our Headquarter  has conducted good number of Campussing at EIRC premises and also at Headquarters at Kolkata. More than 14 numbers of good companies including some Giant PSUs  from different parts of India have participated in that Campus placement program and selected good numbers of  CMAs for  their Companies . We have also a plan for summer Campus in Kolkata on 2nd June,2018 and also at Bhubaneshwar on a later date.

Members holding Certificate of Practice who are running short on the stipulated CEP credit hours required for CoP renewal for 2018-19, such shortfall needs to be completed and made good latest by 30th June 2018. We have also a plan to conduct numbers of CEP program in EIRC for enriching knowledge of the members and students .In EIRC we have arranged  twoworkshops , one on 13th April, 2018 on the theme “Overview of Valuation of Financial Assets & Liabilities under the Companies Act 2013” .The Speaker was CMA Gautam Mitra , Profession from Burdwan University and another  , on 17th May, 2018 on the theme  "Annual Return & GST Audit” . The Speaker was CMA Chiranjib Das ,former Jt.Director of our Institute &  eminent tax practitioner . Both the workshops were participated by good number of members & students.

The Institute has organized  National CMA Practitioners’ Convention (NCPC) 2018, on the theme “Emerging Professional Avenues: Capacity Building of CMAs” on 19th & 20th May 2018 at Vadodara, Gujarat. Eminent panelists, having expert knowledge of the emerging professional topics, have shared their experiences and guided the participants  to upgrade themselves for the best knowledge of the practitioners .

Our Institute is organizing its International Conference on the theme "Professionals of the Future: Thoughts on 2018 & Beyond" on June 29th, 2018, which would be held Hotel Taj Diplomatic Enclave, New Delhi. IFAC President, Ms. Rachel Grimes has given her consent to attend as Special Guest. .I would request the members from the Eastern Region for their active participation.
